FIRST: DHS Secretary Kristi Noem stated that ICE agents would be present “all over” [[link removed]'s,Americans%20who%20love%20this%20country.%E2%80%9D] the Super Bowl in Santa Clara.
NOW: I’ve sent a letter [[link removed]] to Noem, with support from 21 of my fellow California representatives, demanding assurance that ICE and other immigration enforcement personnel be banned from the Super Bowl.
I refuse to allow Trump’s standing army to continue terrorizing our communities. That’s why I’ve introduced a 10-point resolution to hold ICE accountable and reform immigration enforcement:
✅ Vote no on the DHS funding bill.
✅ Repeal the multi-year $75 billion funding for ICE.
✅ Impeach Noem and Bondi.
✅ End qualified immunity for ICE agents.
✅ Investigate and prosecute every single ICE agent who broke the law.
✅ End the Kavanaugh stops with racial profiling and the militarization of ICE.
✅ Codify a use-of-force standard so courts can enforce the law against rogue ICE agents.
✅ Tear down and replace ICE with an agency that has oversight.
✅ Prohibit masks and mandate body cameras and visible identification for immigration officers.
✅ Establish human rights standards at immigration detention facilities.
Nearly 250,000 people have signed in support so far. We need to ensure that every Democrat demands these reforms. No caving or settling for less.
