You might not know this, friends, but when I’m not speaking with fellow Coloradans about what they want to see from their next governor, I really like to share a good dad joke. This is one of my favorites:

When does a joke become a dad joke?

When it’s apparent.

Dad jokes might make you chuckle — or, if you’re my kids, they might make you groan — but raising the funds this campaign needs to win is no laughing matter. So I’ll make you a deal: chip in any amount to this grassroots movement, and I’ll send you another favorite dad joke of mine. >>>

I’ll tell you what else is no laughing matter: the issues Coloradans are facing all across our state.

We’ve heard from thousands of Coloradans — on our Fight for Colorado Town Hall Tour, in our suggestion box, and all over — about the biggest concerns they have. Just a few common themes have been around affordability, defending our democracy, and building opportunity for all through support for our public schools and our workforce.

Questions, concerns, and feedback like the ones I’ve mentioned are always valuable to me, because they come right from you: the people I’m here to serve. Our campaign is not — and will never be — bankrolled by out-of-state billionaires, corporations, or special interests. I will never let their dollars hijack the agenda we’ve built together. That’s why I have never taken, and never will take, corporate money or PAC money in my campaigns.

I take public service and the rule of law seriously. But it’s important to laugh, too! So today, I’m asking: chip in a few bucks to show you’re with us in this grassroots movement we’re building.
