Email from Colorado Draws the Line John, This week, Democrats in the Maryland state House of Representatives passed a new Congressional map that would give Democrats an additional seat in Congress. The new map now moves to the Maryland state Senate where it must also be approved. But unfortunately, it’s looking like their effort to counter MAGA’s is flatlining:     This is catastrophic news for Democrats. The redistricting arms race has become a full-on sprint, and the math currently favors MAGA. They need to pick up 18 additional seats to fully lock Democrats out of Congress, and they have a clear path to reaching that number. Every single seat matters for Democrats at this point to stop MAGA election rigging. If MD’s effort collapses, Democrats will be in dire straits. But thankfully, Colorado is providing Democrats with life support. Colorado Draws the Line is spearheading a ballot initiative that would give Democrats 3-4 additional seats in Congress in Colorado. If Maryland’s effort is officially pronounced dead, we could be the difference in this existential fight for Democrats.
