John,
Across the country, Black stories are under coordinated attack through the neo segregationist agenda driving assaults on DEI, the erasure of Black history, and book bans that silence Black writers and illustrators. These efforts are not random. They are designed to push our voices out of public life and sever our cultural legacy from future generations.
On Wednesday, February 11 at 8:00 p.m. ET, Color Of Change is hosting a Black Stories Roundtable; a space to gather in community, make sense of what’s happening, and talk about how we protect Black literary and cultural heritage in this moment.
Hear from Color Of Changes' new President and CEO, Nadine Smith, about the power of stories and why we must fight to preserve them and share them.
Join Wade Hudson (Just Us Books Inc.), Andrew “Sekou” Jackson (Queens Public Library Board of Trustees), and Dr. Jarvis R. Givens (Harvard), alongside other authors, educators, organizers, and cultural leaders, for a grounded, honest conversation rooted in lived experience and care.
RSVP HERE!
We hope you’ll join us and bring a friend who cares about Black stories.
Until Justice Is Real,
The Color Of Change Team
