In less than two weeks, millions of people will gather to watch the biggest football game of the year. 

Bright lights. 
Packed hotels. 

Most people don’t know this… 

Wherever crowds gather, traffickers follow. Major sporting weekends bring increased travel, full hotels, busy airports, and distracted attention.  

Behind the excitement… 
Children will go missing. 

This is the perfect environment for exploitation. Law enforcement and child protection organizations know this pattern well.  

Trafficking spikes around large events because vulnerability increases. 

While millions are preparing for entertainment, vulnerable children are facing danger. They're not thinking about scores or highlights, but hoping to be safe - waiting for help before harm happens. 

This is why this moment matters. 

Here is a truth that should stop us cold: 

9 out of 10 missing children are trafficked right here in the United States. 

That's why I’m reaching out to you today. 

The Sound of Freedom Foundation exists to interrupt these moments of danger with protection, prevention, and action.  

We are not here for awareness alone.

Awareness without action does not save a child. We are here to stop trafficking before it starts, support intervention efforts, and protect children when the risk is highest. 

But this mission is not an idea. 

It is personal. 
It is lived.  
It is carried by those who know danger firsthand.

My name is Theresa Flores.  

I’m a survivor of child trafficking. And today, I work to help protect children before they disappear. 

I was fifteen years old. 
An honor student. 
A daughter. 

A girl who trusted the wrong “friend.” 

I was trafficked for two years. 
 
Most people imagine trafficking happens far away...in dark alleys...in other countries. 
 
To “other people.” 

But that’s not how it usually happens. 

Right now, as set up for the big game is underway, 120 trained partner volunteers are already on the ground in the Bay Area. 

Men and women working this week— 
Training hotel staff to recognize danger. 

Walking hotel halls, parking garages and public spaces. 

Watching. 
Reporting. 
Protecting. 

Standing where traffickers don’t expect resistance. 

Children cannot choose safety on their own. They depend on adults to act when danger is highest.  

Freedom is not a word painted in an end zone. It's safety, dignity and the chance to grow up without fear.

That number has saved lives. 

Because sometimes, the only moment a child is truly alone… 
is in the bathroom. 

This is what rescue looks like before a headline or a news story. 

Right now, I’m asking you to do something just as important as giving. 

Please pray that they’ll be found. 

Pray for the children whose names we don’t know yet. 
Pray for the ones who are afraid to speak. 
Pray for courage, protection, and rescue. 

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me… and do not hinder them.” 

This is how we don’t hinder them. 
This is how we show up.
