In this rapidly changing world, and at a pivotal time for our country, Canadians expect and deserve serious leadership that brings us together rather than divides us.
And our new Liberal team is focused on the things we can control: building one Canadian economy and diversifying our partnerships abroad, protecting our communities and our sovereignty, and empowering Canadians with lower costs and new opportunities.
That’s why we’re launching the new Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit, to help make life more affordable for more than 12 million Canadians, and ensure people have the support they need right now.
We’re building faster and bigger, with Canadian materials and Canadian workers, creating hundreds of thousands of high-paying careers, investing in apprenticeships and skills training, building millions more homes, and connecting our country with major nation-building projects.
And we’re creating new opportunities for Canadian businesses and industries by deepening our partnerships and finding new markets. In the last six months alone, we signed 12 new economic and security partnerships across four continents.
We will continue to call upon the opposition to work together and not hold up legislation that builds our nation, protects our communities, and empowers our workers. That includes the implementation of Canada’s 2025 Budget without delay, and following through on the Premiers’ unanimous call to pass our bill to strengthen the Criminal Code and keep violent and repeat offenders off our streets.
