This should alarm every American:

Former CNN journalist Don Lemon was arrested after covering protests in Minnesota.

This is a blatant attack on press freedom by the Trump administration. The First Amendment exists to protect journalists for moments exactly like this, so that journalists can report the news without intimidation or retaliation.

When those in power start deciding who gets to speak, who gets silenced, or what the media is allowed to cover, we are on a dangerous path. History shows how quickly that erosion of rights can slide toward authoritarianism.
