2026 trade shows

Nothing beats face-to-face interaction with key decision-makers.

In particular, we value the collaboration and camaraderie of inviting Washington-based companies and organizations to join with us. Our work shows there is no substitute for the value of being in person to build trusted, interpersonal relationships.

Opportunity Zones Program 2.0

Opportunity Zones (OZs) are federally designated census tracts  meant to spur investment in historically underserved, low-income communities.

and showcases opportunities for companies interested in investing in Washington. A revised program is being rolled out, called OZ 2.0, designating new opportunity zones. Communities will apply for OZ designation and will do so again once every ten years.

The program also will have other permanent changes to the policy’s geographic targeting criteria, incentive structure and reporting requirements. To help with educating communities and current OZ partners, Commerce is hosting a multi-month process to support Governor Ferguson in nominating up to 25% of Washington’s eligible low-income census tracts to be opportunity zones.

OZs have shown they spark private investment across an array of low-income communities – more than any previous policy over a such a short period of time. Learn more at one of our upcoming educational webinars.
