We need to talk about the recent Special Election in Texas.

In 2024, Trump won this Texas district by 17 points.

This Saturday, Democrat Taylor Rehmet won the Special by 14 points. He flipped a State Senate seat, and it wasn't close (In Texas, the state senate districts are larger than congressional districts).

Taylor's Republican opponent even had Trump's endorsement, but it turns out that Trump is as weak and unpopular in Texas right now as he is in the rest of the country.
