Here’s how we build upon the exciting victory in last Saturday’s special election and make the most of the time we have between today and election day this November.
March 3: Texans vote in the primary.
This is when we choose who we are and what we stand for. We’ll pick our nominee for U.S. Senate, our challenger to Greg Abbott, and Democratic candidates for the Legislature who are ready to serve everyone. When turnout is high, we win stronger candidates and a stronger ticket. Remember, we have Democrats running in every State Senate, every State House and every U.S. Congressional race for the first time in Texas history.
April and May: We show up where others don’t.
Local elections are often decided by a few hundred votes—sometimes fewer. Republicans count on people not paying attention. Powered by People is changing that by going community to community, registering voters, and helping Texans understand what’s on the ballot and how to vote.
November 3: We deliver for Texas.
We elect a Democrat to the U.S. Senate. We win critical congressional races and we flip state legislative seats that will finally reflect the will of the people of this state.
Powered by People is already doing the work—registering voters, staying in touch, and organizing year-round. We don’t wait until the last few weeks before an election. We build relationships, we earn trust, and we show up everywhere.
