Houston DSA is focused on building our organizing capabilities and empowering our members and the working class to fight for what we deserve. We have some exciting events coming up, from weekly canvassing across Houston, supporting local unionizing Starbucks, to gardening work day and much more!

February Monthly General Meeting!

Houston DSA’s monthly general meetings are where the membership comes together to be in community and discuss the activities going on within our own chapter and the national DSA. This general meeting will have bylaws and electoral endorsement votes taking place - members are highly encourage to come and participate!

Canvass to Demand Immigrant Justice across the greater Houston area

We have multiple canvassing events coming up this weekend across Houston!  We will be having regular canvassing event every other weekend. Join us as we reach out to Houstonians, share important information about their rights, and offer resources to support our immigrant communities. Fight to demand the city defend immigrants! Training will be provided.

Curious about DSA? Thinking about joining but want to learn more first? Attended a few of our events already and ready to become a member? Already a member and want to get more involved? If so, this event is for you!

You’ll learn about DSA, what we do, and how you can get involved in the fight for a brighter future. We’ll outline our chapter’s structure, highlight some of our past work, and dive into what we’re working on right now and how you can get involved.

Drive Thru Caravan to Support Unionizing Starbucks Workers

Calling all Comrades! Wednesday, February 4th from open to close we are asking you to hit up the drive thru of the Starbucks at 17731 Tomball Pkwy Houston, TX 77064. Order something small, tip well and wish the Baristas good luck with their Union Election!

Tis the season to prep the gardens for a bountiful harvest! Join our EcoSocialism Working Group this Saturday, Feb 7th at Cane River Gardens from 2pm to sunset to spread mulch, dig post-holes, and move materials and help The Houston Climate Justice Museum prep their garden for a new shade structure installation.

Join Houston DSA at Cidercade for our Arcade Night on Friday starting at 7PM! Socialize with comrades while playing games. Members and non-members alike are welcome.
