After ICE agents shot and killed U.S. citizens Renee Good and Alex Pretti, Trump’s MAGA loyalists immediately rushed to cover it up, spewing lies, blaming the victims, and even attacking the victims’ family members. 

Without witnesses being able to record ICE’s violence on camera, the public would never know the truth – and that’s exactly what some Republican politicians want. 

Introduced by Florida’s unelected Sen. Ashley Moody, the so-called “HALO Act” would create a “25-foot buffer zone” around ICE – giving the officers wide latitude to shield their actions from bystanders if they say they feel “harassed.” Violators would be sent to prison for up to FIVE YEARS.

If Moody’s bill were law, we would never have known what happened to Renee Good and Alex Pretti.

That’s why we are fighting back: we’re placing a billboard in South Florida letting folks here know exactly where Moody stands.
