This is Congressman Ro Khanna. Yesterday, I was campaigning in New Jersey
with a leader we need in Congress: Analilia Mejia.
My friends at the PCCC, who have endorsed Analilia and also been on the
ground with her campaign, asked me to share why I think this week's
special primary for Congress is so important.
Analilia has been fighting for working families her whole life. She’s an
organizer who knows how to win tough battles, and she’s never been afraid
to speak truth to power.

She’s the daughter of Colombian and Dominican immigrants, raised by a
seamstress and a factory worker who struggled to make ends meet. She grew
up seeing the power of community, grit, and kindness firsthand.
That experience made her who she is: A fighter. A builder. A woman who
won’t back down. She has:

✅Delivered paid sick leave
✅Taken on corruption in both parties
✅Served in the Biden Administration
✅Helped lead Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign
✅Battled Trumpism at every turn
She is running for Congress because working families need someone who
understands struggle and will never sell out to big-money special
interests.
