Friends,

Exciting news! This week, we officially launched my reelection campaign’s Veterans Coalition. Watch a recap from WDTV 5 News here.

West Virginia is home to over 100,000 veterans, making up more than 7% of our state’s population. As the daughter of a World War II veteran, I deeply value the sacrifices made by those who have honorably served. It has always been my goal to make West Virginia the best place for veterans to call home.

My advocacy for our veterans isn't just about words; it’s about legislative action. In Congress I have:

  • Lead efforts to recruit rural doctors and modernize telehealth for our veterans
  • Secured the 9-8-8 Veterans Crisis Line and expanding access to non-opioid pain management to reduce addiction risks
  • Fought for legislation to allow combat-injured veterans to receive both their disability compensation and retired pay in full
  • Helped create a first-in-the-nation agrotherapy program to assist our veterans in rehabilitation
  • Supported legislation to help veterans use benefits to start small businesses and franchises

The launch of this coalition is a testament to our state’s patriotism and the strength of our reelection campaign. I am more dedicated than ever to serving those who have served our nation and defended our freedoms.

Join our Veterans Coalition Today!

Sincerely,

Shelley Moore Capito, U.S. Senator
