About the job

As an Administrative Assistant 5, you will serve as the principal administrative partner to the Assistant Director for Facility Professional Services (FPS), providing high-level support in managing the operations of a complex public works division. You will act as a key liaison between FPS leadership, DES executive management, program managers, other divisions and agencies, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of leadership priorities, administrative policies, and strategic direction. The position leads and coordinates divisional administrative support staff, oversees and advances complex projects, and makes administrative decisions on behalf of the Assistant Director. You will also support management activities, align closely with agency executive offices, contribute to HR and strategic coordination efforts, and foster a professional, confidential, and team-oriented environment that promotes strong partnerships and customer service.
