John,

Right now, the Trump Administration and Republicans in Congress are giving ICE a blank check. It’s why I just voted against additional ICE funding -- again.

America is a nation of laws and a nation of immigrants. We need competence, not chaos.

There are currently no guardrails on ICE, and as their cruelty in Minnesota and across the country have shown, we need oversight. I refuse to vote for more funding of this agency without the needed reform.

Congress has a constitutional obligation to demand accountability. ICE should follow the law and operate transparently -- not be handed a blank check to make matters worse at the hands of Donald Trump, Stephen Miller, and Kristi Noem.

I’m using my position in Congress to push for real reform. A Democratic House majority in November would make that accountability real. Your support in January helped move us closer, and your continued support right now will make a difference in the battle ahead.
