The Lincoln Project

Friend,

If you’ve been keeping up with the news lately, then you know Trump still isn’t over the ass kicking he went through in 2020 when he lost the presidential election.

Right now, he’s throwing a very public tantrum, and actually sending FBI agents into counties he lost in and having them seize voting records.

Childish and stupid? Yes. Total waste of taxpayer money? Absolutely. But hey, at least he’s not rounding up his cult members to storm the Capitol and beat police officers with fire extinguishers.

Still though, the things he’s saying are concerning. Especially from a “I really hope Trump doesn’t destroy democracy” standpoint:

Trump, in an Escalation, Calls for Republicans to ‘Nationalize’
Elections

“Nationalize elections”.... That just sounds bad, doesn’t it.

What this would mean is turning all of our elections, which have been run by the states for the past 250 years, over to Donald Trump and his regime.

The same regime that brought you this version of ICE. The same regime that still hasn’t released all the Epstein files. The same regime that has shut down the government twice in one year. The same regime that will rig these elections to keep power at all costs.

Trump’s saying and doing all of this stuff because he’s scared. He knows that as of right now, he’s on pace to lose both of his majorities. And without those majorities, Trump’s agenda stalls.

Exposing his tricks to steal the midterms is the only way we’re going to get ahead of Trump and save democracy. Help us tell Americans that Trump wants to nationalize their elections and steal their votes >>
