JOHN,
At today’s Lake County Commission meeting, I voted NO on the Lake Yale PUD allowing 1,450 new homes in a rural part of our county.
We should be working to protect rural and agricultural lands—NOT expanding high-density suburban sprawl housing, which is a dead-end, long-term, unsustainable path and will ensure our grandchildren will NOT want to live in Lake County.
Unfortunately, the project passed.
I will continue to oppose all new comprehensive plan amendments and zoning changes that turn Lake County into a bland and indistinctive place.
Real Florida should be protected.
