Friend, I’m losing track of the President’s various delusions, lies, harassments, and racist attacks.
This week, he’s trying to link me to ISIS.
It would be laughable if it weren’t so damaging for our nation and my security.
It’s been only a week since I was attacked at a town hall, and Trump is just continuing to amp up the racist attacks. He is getting even more extreme despite the dramatic increase in death threats I am receiving.
It’s not just dangerous for me, but for all Muslims in America who suffer because their President constantly tells his supporters to fear and hate them.
Think about that — the most powerful man in the world, putting targets on the backs of his own citizens on the basis of their religion and place of birth. It’s the kind of tyranny that America was founded to oppose, and despite our nation’s shortcomings, I believe we can rise above it.
I have seen the resistance to fascism and authoritarianism in my own backyard in Minneapolis. I have seen how regular people of all backgrounds are coming together to organize, to educate, to provide mutual aid, and to protect each other. Not to hate people who are different and scapegoat immigrants.
The bottom line is, I will not give up on building this movement with you, no matter what Trump and MAGA have to say about it. As we press on, if you can afford to chip in $10 today, it would help us continue to afford our security team, who keep me and our entire campaign safe as Trump’s attacks inspire more harassment and threats.
