As we kick off 2026, one thing is clear: this is a pivotal year for Georgia's future.

With the legislative session underway, special elections on the calendar, and major accountability fights continuing, Greater Georgia is entering the year focused on what we do best: registering voters, informing them about today's top issues, and expanding citizen engagement across the state.

Here's what you need to know as we start the year.

This organization was founded to be run like a business with efficient use of resources and a high return on investment, whether that's donors' treasure or volunteer's time.

With your help, we spent 2025 building lasting conservative infrastructure:

Final Stop: Statewide Education Tour

For our final stop of the Statewide Education Tour, Speaker Jon Burns joined business and community leaders for a forward-looking discussion on the issues expected to shape the 2026 legislative session.

Speaker Burns outlined the House's policy areas of focus during the 2026 Legislative Session, including:


• Property tax reform
• Expanded access to affordable healthcare
• Improving literacy and education outcomes

Election Integrity: 2026 Legislative Session

As the legislative session moves forward, Greater Georgia is closely watching how lawmakers address election integrity measures ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

Most importantly, we are tracking the effort to eliminate QR-codes from Georgia's voting system. You can read our letter to the General Assembly here which outlines our three non-negotiables:


• A realistic timeline and full funding
• Human readable ballots and transparency
• Proper time for election officials to prepare and implement a new system

🚨 Special Election Results and Reminders 🚨

✔ House District 23 — In the special election to fill the seat recently vacated in Cherokee County, Republican Bill Fincher emerged victorious, maintaining conservative control of this key House district.

✔ Senate District 18 — The special election in Central Georgia produced a runoff matchup between Democrat LeMario Nicholas Brown and Republican Steven McNeel, following the top-two vote getters advancing from a competitive field. Voters will vote again in the upcoming runoff scheduled for Feb. 17. 

Upcoming special elections will be held on March 10 in Congressional District 14, Senate District 53, and House District 94, and House District 130.

Frontline Policy: Launching Frontline HQ

We're excited to highlight the launch of Frontline HQ, a new leadership development initiative designed to identify, equip, and connect the next generation of kingdom-minded leaders called to serve in the public square. Frontline HQ, an initiative of Frontline Policy Institute, will recruit talented leaders aged 20-25, convene its inaugural cohort for a training intensive at Foxhall Resort in Summer 2026, pair participants with experienced mentors, and help place them in careers and positions influence across Georgia.

Applications for the first cohort are now open, with opportunities also available to serve as mentors or partners in this program.

Greater Georgia mourns the passing of Rogers Wade, a respected conservative leader who played a significant role in shaping Georgia's public policy landscape. Wade served as President of the Georgia Public Policy Foundation and led Governor Nathan Deal's transition, earning the trust and respect of conservative-minded leaders across the state. His commitment to principled leadership, sound policy, and service to Georgia leaves a lasting legacy that will not be forgotten.
