When I started working at Starbucks, things started out great. Then out of nowhere, my hours got cut to fewer than 20/week. Those great benefits Starbucks loves to talk about? They disappeared when they cut my hours.

It’s disgusting for a corporation worth billions of dollars to force employees to rely on SNAP and Medicaid so they can keep flying their CEO to the office on a private jet. That’s why we’re fighting for a fair union contract and an end to union busting.

We never won anything by asking nicely. Today, we see countless examples of people coming together to fight injustice. Every major victory for economic and racial justice has been won through a series of small actions like this.
