Gov. Beshear Joins Tate Inc. To Celebrate Largest Job Creation Project in Barren County in 18 Years; $76 Million Investment Creating 400 Full-Time Jobs

""""""""""""""""""""""""""Investment has increased since initial announcement in October 2025""""""""""""""""""""""""""

*GLASGOW, Ky. (Feb. 3, 2026) *– Today, Gov. Andy Beshear joined local officials and company leaders from Tate Inc. to celebrate the largest job creation project in Barren County in 18 years. The new $76 million facility will be the company’s largest site worldwide and create 400 new manufacturing jobs once fully operational.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Tate to their New Kentucky Home in Glasgow,” said *Gov. Beshear*. “This is the largest job creation project that Barren County has seen in nearly 20 years, and our skilled workforce is ready to step in. I want to thank the leaders at Tate for choosing to invest in the commonwealth and look forward to seeing their success and future growth.”

The investment was initially announced in October 2025 [ [link removed] ] during the Governor’s visit to Kingspan Group PLC in Ireland (the parent company of Tate) and has since increased. The new facility will house advanced fabrication, assembly and testing operations, enabling Tate to meet increasing global demand for precision-engineered data center infrastructure. The site builds on successful facility launches in St. Paul, Virginia, and Pocahontas, Arkansas, over the past two years. The Kentucky facility is expected to come online in phases, supporting continued investment in advanced manufacturing capabilities and the development of a skilled local workforce.

“We’re delighted to become part of the Glasgow community,” said *Daniel Kennedy*, *Global President of Cloud Solutions and Innovation at Tate*. “Expanding our manufacturing capabilities here in rural Kentucky reflects our commitment to expanding our U.S. manufacturing footprint and creating high quality jobs.”

Headquartered in Columbia, Maryland, Tate operates within Kingspan Data Solutions, a division of Kingspan Group PLC. Tate is a global leader in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of interior infrastructure solutions for mission-critical data center environments. With more than 120 years of industry heritage, Tate offers a comprehensive portfolio of advanced data center systems, including aisle containment, structural ceilings, airflow management solutions and liquid-cooling technologies, enabling customers to build efficient, scalable and sustainable data centers. Kingspan has a global footprint that includes 273 facilities and more than 27,000 employees across 80 countries.

*Barren County Judge/Executive Jamie Byrd *spoke on the future potential growth for the county: “Tate’s investment in our county is already delivering real results. Seeing activity ramp up and local residents being hired this early in the process confirms we’re gaining more than a facility – we’re gaining a true partner. This level of private investment – up to $76 million and 400 new jobs – positions our county for sustained growth and puts our local workforce at the center of it. We’re grateful to Gov. Beshear and the team at the Cabinet for Economic Development for their leadership and partnership in bringing this project to our county.”

*Glasgow M**ayor Henry Royse* mentioned the progress Tate has already made on the project: “We are already seeing the positive impact of Tate Inc.’s decision to locate in Glasgow. The level of activity at this early stage – from capital investment to the hiring of local residents – speaks volumes about the company’s long-term commitment to our city and our people. An investment of up to $76 million and the creation of 400 new jobs is not just an economic milestone; it’s a strong vote of confidence in Glasgow’s workforce and business environment. We are proud to welcome Tate. and look forward to the growth and opportunity this partnership will continue to bring.”

*Maureen Carpenter*, *president and CEO of the Barren County Economic Authority,* showed the area’s overall excitement for the new location: “We are incredibly excited about Tate’s decision to locate in Barren County. This is the largest economic development announcement our community has seen in nearly two decades, and it reflects years of focused work to attract the right project for this site. We were intentional about finding a company that aligned with our workforce, our infrastructure and our long-term vision, and Tate is an outstanding fit. Their investment and commitment to hiring locally represent exactly the kind of growth we strive to bring to Barren County.”

Tate’s investment and job creation furthers what has been the best six-year period for economic growth in state history.

Since the beginning of his administration, Gov. Beshear has announced more than 1,300 private-sector new-location and expansion projects totaling over $45 billion in announced investments, creating more than 68,000 jobs. This is the highest investment figure secured during the tenure of any governor in the commonwealth’s history and $24 billion more than the next highest total.
