State of the County Community Event Rescheduled for March 2
Join us for the 2026 State of the County event the evening of Monday, March 2, at the Hylton Performing Arts Center. Hear from the Board of County Supervisors Chair At-Large and county leaders as they discuss progress on the 2025–2028 Strategic Plan. The event will include an open house from 6-7 p.m. and then feature panel discussions on community safety, workforce development and what it means to live, work and play in Prince William County. Celebrate Black History Month at Prince William County Historic Sites
The Prince William County Office of Historic Preservation invites you to explore and honor Black History Month through a series of engaging programs at historic sites across the county. From the Lucasville School Open House to hands-on culinary history at Ben Lomond and a daylong African American History and Culture Bus Tour, these events highlight powerful stories, traditions and contributions that shaped Prince William County.
Fiscal Year 2027 Budget Season Begins
This month, the Board of County Supervisors will kick off budget season by hearing presentations on the proposed Capital Improvement Program on February 10 and the Proposed Fiscal Year 2027 Budget on February 17, outlining funding for vital county services. The community will have several weeks to provide their input and feedback to the Board before budget adoption on April 21.
Calling All Lifeguards!
Summer will be here before we know it, and Prince William County Parks & Recreation is gearing up by hiring lifeguards to keep our pools safe and fun. If you or someone you know is interested in working at one of the county's two waterparks or community pools, sign up for a swim test and interview on Monday, February 9, from 5–6:30 p.m. Parks and Recreation offers free certification training, flexible schedules and a fun summer working at the pool!
