As we step into another year celebrating authentic artistry, we at Heartland Journal are proud to announce the 2nd Annual Heartland Awards™ 2025 — an awards celebration built by fans, for fans, and focused on the artists who truly matter.
The entertainment awards landscape has changed dramatically. MTV — once the heartbeat of music and pop culture — along with its companion channels, has faded from broadcast as Paramount Global pivots toward streaming.
The MTV Movie & TV Awards did not return in 2025. Even closer to home, the 2025 CMT Music Awards were cancelled amid corporate mergers and restructuring.
I mean did see the Grammys? Not great.

As big corporations streamline schedules and chase profits, artists and fans are often left behind. When awards that once honored real talent disappear, something meaningful is lost.
But here’s the good news: Heartland Journal is here — and growing stronger.
