John,
This weekend, the Washington State GOP responded to my remarks about ICE’s reign of terror. And what they had to say was, frankly, bullsh*t.

This kind of dangerous rhetoric undermines the very notion of citizenship, takes an axe to the First Amendment’s protections of free speech, and is the kind of rhetoric that fuels violence — not to mention the fact that it’s an insult to the hundreds of thousands of people I represent here in Seattle.
But no matter what they say or do, I’m never backing down.
As a first-generation immigrant myself, I know that what’s happening to immigrants all over the country right now could’ve happened to me. And I won’t stay silent while masked men with guns terrorize our communities across the nation.
If you’re with me, please chip in $3 or whatever you can to support my campaign and help me keep fighting to reign in ICE and protect immigrant communities.

In solidarity,
