There’s a lot happening right now, and much of it feels upsetting and overwhelming. In addition to our planned legislative update, we're making space to talk through concrete ways to take action on multiple issues that are unfolding right now.

We’ll also take time for everyone to share what they’re seeing, feeling, and doing—and how we’re finding ways to process, take care of ourselves, and sustain this work for the long haul.

You will always find people who are helping.” Lately, I’ve been seeing violence and fear in the headlines, but I’ve also been seeing so many helpers. People speaking truth to power, or standing strong when it takes great courage to do so. 

I know you're a helper. That's why I'm inviting you to join me and other helpers for our next Virtual Action Team meeting on Tuesday, February 3rd.

We’ll preview the developments likely to happen before the end of the legislative session, and we’ll share opportunities for you to help. There’s often a flurry of activity as the session winds down, so we’ll update you on the work we’re doing to amplify lifesaving bills. We’ll also let you know about the reckless pro-gun measures legislators are pushing, and our plan to shut these NRA-backed policies down. 

I hope to see you there. Coming together with people like you who are committed to peace, equity and progress is always a highlight.
