Well folks, it’s that time of the year again: Tax season.
While no one looks forward to filing taxes or dealing with the dreadful IRS, real relief is coming this tax season thanks to Republicans’ One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB).
The OBBB, which received my vote and President Trump’s signature last summer, includes historic Working Families Tax Cuts that are estimated to deliver $91 billion in additional refunds to the American people. On average, families will see a nearly $4,000 refund — putting more cash back into hardworking people’s pockets. In fact, without the OBBB tax cuts, the average taxpayer in Georgia’s Ninth District would have faced a whopping 23% tax hike.
Some key OBBB highlights include:
âś… Establishes no tax on tips
âś… Establishes no tax on overtime
âś… Establishes supersized deduction for seniors
âś… Creates Trump Investment Accounts for newborns
âś… Makes permanent the doubled standard deduction
âś… Makes permanent the small business tax deductionÂ
âś… Makes permanent and increases the Child Tax Credit
âś… Establishes no tax on car loan interest on new, U.S.-assembled vehicles
