After masked ICE agents killed Alex Pretti for filming their brutal tactics in Minneapolis last weekend, White House officials scrambled to come up with an excuse to justify ICE's actions.

So Stephen Miller – the president's top homeland security advisor and the mastermind behind his most cruel, hatred-fueled policies – crafted the sick narrative that Trump and DHS Secretary Noem would parrot in the aftermath: 

 ... until all video and eyewitness accounts exposed his incendiary lie.
