James,
This is Dieu Do, Our Revolution organizer on the ground in Minneapolis.
I'm writing to you today to make sure you know the truth of what's happening right now in my city. Because despite what Trump and his cronies may say to try to calm tensions, the reality is nothing has changed on our streets. ICE’s violence and intimidation are still daily life for our neighbors.

But our movement hasn't let up for a second doing the work needed to protect our communities AND get ICE out for good. Right now, organizers on the frontlines are patrolling neighborhoods, delivering food, and protecting kids at bus stops from being snatched by ICE. And we’re mobilizing the grassroots and growing our power to show up in massive numbers to send a clear message to Trump: we will not stop until our communities are safe from ICE’s terror.
The truth is this kind of work takes resources – direct action, mutual aid, and so much more. Will you rush a contribution right now to power our grassroots defense, help protect families, and drive ICE out of our communities?

As Trump tries to make it seem like things have changed, and Border czar Tom Homan talks about a possible drawdown plan IF state and city officials cooperate, the truth is ICE agents are still stalking our streets, fueled by federal directives and operating with near-total impunity.
I’ve been teargassed on the street while trying to help a pregnant woman get care during a chaotic ICE raid. I’ve seen my neighbors tackled to the street and families torn apart. But I’ve also seen the power of our people and the strength of this community.
Despite these efforts to terrorize us into silence, it’s only making us stronger.
Two Fridays ago, in temperatures of 20 degrees below zero, over 200,000 Minnesotans made history, braving the cold for the first general strike in the U.S. in nearly 80 years. Our message was loud and clear: End the federal ICE occupation now.
This past Friday, we did it again – this time across the country – and we’re not going to stop until the terror stops. But that’s not all. We’re also watching out for our neighbors, forming late-night patrols and putting ourselves on the line to stand between ICE and its targets.
Our communities are exhausted, scared, and angry – yet hope grows every day that our mass effort will end this occupation.
Because one thing is clear: a growing number of us across the country are standing up and refusing to let ICE terrorize our communities in silence. But like every movement for justice, we need grassroots power – the power of people like you.
We know this work makes a difference. When we show up – together – we save lives. And together, we will build the power we need to get ICE out of our communities for good. Please donate what you can now to keep this resistance alive. The time to end ICE violence is now – and every dollar raised matters.
When we organize, we win,
Dieu Do
