We recently invited folks in western Wisconsin to join us for the screening of two powerful short films about water contamination in Wisconsin. The story is so important that we wanted to extend the same invitation to everyone across the state. What’s happening in Stella has implications for communities everywhere.

You’re invited to a special evening of storytelling, community, and conversation in beautiful River Falls on Thursday, Feb. 5.

We’re hosting a free documentary double-feature screening of our recent short films about water contamination in Wisconsin – The Right to Know and A Seething Underneath – at the historic Falls Theatre in downtown River Falls.

Nestled near the Kinnickinnic River (the “Kinni”) and surrounded by bluffs, trails, and some of western Wisconsin’s most beloved natural spaces, River Falls is the perfect setting to come together and reflect on the stories about water and water protection.

These powerful, locally made documentaries explore the very real struggles rural Wisconsinites face in keeping their drinking water safe from contaminants like nitrates and E. coli. Without regular testing, required notifications, or state support, thousands of families, like those featured in these films, remain unaware of the risks in their own wells. These are Wisconsin stories, told by Wisconsinites, and they deserve to be seen and shared.

Doors open at 5:15 p.m., with the screening beginning at 5:45 p.m.
Location: Falls Theatre, 105 N. Main Street in River Falls
The event is free and open to all, but we ask that you please RSVP in advance.
Concessions will be available for purchase through the Falls Theatre.
