potholes
We're repairing potholes and roads and improving footpaths around the city
With additional funding secured for the 2026/2027, Nottingham City Council is working hard to improve roads and make driving, walking and cycling easier and safer.
*We're currently working overnight to resurface Queens Drive between Castle Bridge Road and Crossgate Drive. If you usually travel in this area overnight, take a look at the diversion info here. [ [link removed] ]*
*We're also currently on site on Alfreton Road adding a new pedestrian crossing [ [link removed] ]*
*You can see details of all the repair and resurfacing works we're doing on our website [ [link removed] ]*
*If you experience a pothole, please report it to us - once a pothole is reported it will be inspected and triaged. If someone else has already reported the same pothole, you'll see that on our website so you don't duplicate their report [ [link removed] ]*

Nottingham's new walking and cycling bridge latest
bridge
* We’re now working on walking and cycling connections to the new bridge along Daleside Road and Poulton Drive – they will [ [link removed] ]benefit from new cycling and walking infrastructure that will help safely link up those on bike and on foot with the new bridge. The project includes a 3-metre shared use path along the southern side of the pavement on Daleside Road, including a new planting area providing separation between the new path and the road. It’s being funded by EMCCA.
* On site, work is taking place to prepare the area ready for the smaller basin bridge and the ramps and footpaths that will lead to the main bridge on each side of the river

Which Robin Hood card is right for you?
Robin hood
Robin Hood is the card that covers travel on the bus, tram and train across greater Nottingham.
* For regular travellers, Robin Hood season cards get the best value for buses, trams and trains
* For occasional travellers, Robin Hood pay as you go acts as an electronic purse – deducting travel as you use it. There’s no need for cash or tickets, the card does the hard work for you – capping at the best price for the day
* For flexible travellers, Flexible Days is perfect for those who don't travel at set patterns, such as those who may only go into the office one or two days a week. 20 or 50 all-day travel passes can be used whenever it’s convenient for you!

Last chance Mayor's Transport Plan - have your say
plan
*Have you heard of the new East Midlands Combined County Authority? From 1 February 2026, it became the new public transport body for Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, responsible for making sure transport, roads and links between communities are what local people and visitors need, among other responsibilities.*
*Mayor Claire Ward wants to hear from individuals as well as organisations and businesses, to help inform EMCCA’s future plans for billions of investment to transport in our region. If you have any views about how transport could be improved – including cycling, walking, roads, trains, buses and trams – it’s vital you have your say before 8 February.*
