John, I’ve been knocking doors across IA-03 in 13-degree weather. It’s cold, and it’s not easy, but it’s one of the best ways I stay grounded in what people are actually dealing with. When you’re standing on someone’s front step in weather like that, you get honest conversations. A lot of what I’m hearing depends on the moment people are in. Things change month to month. For some folks right now it’s the cost of groceries or heating their homes. For others it’s health care, schools, or just wanting to feel like someone in Washington is listening.
