I never really considered running for office. Ever. I was too focused on raising my family and being the best football sideline reporter I could be.
But even in the last few weeks, Minnesota has become the embodiment of everything wrong with politics today. Tim Walz, his inner circle, and the corrupt political class are too busy:
Wasting billions of our tax dollars on fraudulent daycares
Failing to condemn the activists storming churches
Raising prices on hardworking families
Sabotaging anything the President wants to do
Forcing men into women’s spaces
Pitting Americans against each other
I can’t sit on the sidelines anymore. That’s why I’m throwing my hat in the ring and announcing my candidacy for U.S. Senate!
I’ve thought long and hard about the dynamics of this race before jumping in.
Minnesota has long been considered simply out of reach for Republicans. The last time it voted for a GOP President was Nixon. The pundits and political experts say a Republican could never win here.
But this year is going to be different for three key reasons:
FIRST – I’m running against Tim Walz’s right hand. All the rampant fraud that took place here happened under Peggy Flanagan's nose as much as it did under his. We will remind voters about that fact every single day.
SECOND – The President has increased his voter share each time he has run. He nearly flipped this state in the last election, and Kamala Harris’ running mate was our sitting Governor! Momentum is on our side.
THIRD – I’m a different kind of candidate, and I know how to win. I didn’t reach the top of my industry by pulling my punches. I put in the work. I never backed down. And I kept fighting, no matter what the naysayers said.
In my years on the sidelines, I’ve seen a LOT of underdogs win football games that the “experts” said were impossible.
The Minnesota Senate race will be another chapter in that storied history.
