I’m extending the deadline one more day because we are SO close to our goal.
Friend –
The deadline of our first membership drive just passed and I have a quick update.
We just need 258 more people to reach our goal. As our Chief of Membership Growth, I know more than anyone that 2,000 new and renewed Sierra Club members is ambitious, but we've carefully totaled the amount of grassroots gifts we need to start the year off strong.
It is no joke, and frankly shocking, the amount of attacks the Sierra Club fought and fended off the environment last year. Our members are the reason we are able to respond swiftly to each time.
We just missed our January 31 deadline, but I'm extending it one more day because if folks know we are SO close to our goal, I'm sure you'll reaffirm your Sierra Club support for 2026.
Friend, January is already proving that it will take harder work to win on our issues this year.
Our 2026 membership drive is coming at a time where we need more members than ever to stand with us in solidarity. Every $25 grassroots gift is a message to get stronger as the organizing powerhouse of the environmental movement–in all 50 states and with all of our 64 local chapters.
When attacks come fast and from every direction, membership is how we stay strong and respond. This is how your support gives the Sierra Club the ability to move – legally, locally, and nationally – without hesitation:
Showing up first for the Arctic, national monuments, and irreplaceable wild places before polluters can move in
Defending our National Park and National Forest Service employees from reckless firings and layoffs as they work to keep our public lands safe and accessible
Holding the line on the Endangered Species Act so wildlife isn't bargained away behind closed doors
Stopping rollbacks in real time, wherever and however they appear
