John, there’s one thing about politics that really bothers me.
It’s the fact that in most cases, the candidate who raises the most money
usually wins.
Alongside that, campaigns have become incredibly expensive to run. We need
money to get our message across in-person, online, and on TV.
Those two reasons are why many candidates, including my opponents, have
taken money from corporate PACs and AIPAC. It’s the “easy” way to bankroll
your campaign quickly.
But it’s not “easy” in my eyes. It’s selling off your voting power
(assuming you win) to the highest bidder.
I refuse to be a part of that broken system. That’s why I have never and
will never take money from corporate PACs or AIPAC.
I won’t pretend that choice is convenient. It makes funding this campaign
a lot harder. The price of authenticity isn’t cheap,
John.
That’s why, even though I don’t like doing it, I have to ask for your
support.
Donations of $25, $10, or even $5 from regular folks like you allow our
campaign to schedule more events, pay our staff, and get ads up on the
air.
I know not everyone is in a position to give right now, and that’s okay.

movement? Any amount helps.

It’s no exaggeration to say all of this wouldn’t be possible without
people like you pitching in. So truly, thank you for your support.
Your friend in the fight,
Abdul
