If you haven’t seen enough yet to say that ICE is a terrorist organization, then I honestly don’t know what else it will take.
The deaths of U.S. citizens at the hands of federal immigration agents in our country have ignited outrage across the country. Protests have spread nationwide, faith leaders have been arrested calling for defunding ICE, and county officials from the Mexican border to the Canadian border are condemning these operations as threats to public safety.
𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗗.𝗖., 𝘄𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝘂𝗻𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆: 𝙬𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙄𝘾𝙀.
Our city’s tax dollars should 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 support an agency whose actions are causing so much pain, fear, and carnage across the nation.
𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 — 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀.
If the federal government refuses to act responsibly, then local government must have our back. It’s time for D.C. to show that city leadership answers to the people, not to violent federal enforcement.
This moment demands action — not silence. To achieve real change, we need your support. We’re up against an urgent fundraising deadline tonight at midnight, so I’m asking:
