John,
Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides the crucial database management ICE depends on to track immigrants and power its massive deportation machine enforced by violent, masked agents. Before raids happen on the street, surveillance happens in the cloud — data is aggregated, analyzed, and turned into targeting lists.
Amazon’s own workers understand this better than anybody. On Cyber Monday 2025, Amazon employees rallied outside company headquarters in New York City to call for Amazon to stop letting DHS and ICE use AWS services to enable mass deportations.
ICE’s power comes not only from force. It comes first from data — who to watch, where to go, when to strike. That power exists because corporations like Amazon sell it. By providing the databases that allow the government to monitor communities and bypass meaningful oversight, Amazon is eroding core democratic protections: privacy, due process, and equal treatment under the law.
DHS and ICE rely on Amazon Web Services as their primary cloud platform. AWS supplies the storage, computing power, and database management that make large-scale surveillance possible. Without AWS, ICE could not ingest and process biometric records, DMV data, cellphone location information, and other purchased datasets at scale.
Send a message to demand that Amazon end its contracts with DHS and ICE and stop profiting from enforcement policies that kill civilians and erode democratic principles now.
Through AWS, and using surveillance data collected by Palantir, DHS pulls data from local, state, and federal sources to map relationships, flag targets, and warehouse this information on Amazon’s servers. This digital dragnet is then used to execute raids, arrests, and family separations across the country.
Amazon is raking in tens of millions of dollars to provide the backbone of this system — profiting directly from the Trump regime’s cruelty.
No company that wants the business of the American people should get away with bankrolling these abuses.
Tell Amazon to stop working with DHS and ICE and against the American people now.
Thank you for standing up against oppression and abuse.
