 Let’s be real: This has been a difficult week. We’re just over one year into Trump’s second presidency. It’s been a year of chaos and lawlessness. The cruelty of this Administration has no bounds. But we have now reached a new, heartbreaking low as a country. Last Saturday, another American citizen – Alex Pretti – was shot in cold blood by rogue ICE agents in Minnesota. Not only are Alex’s loved ones grieving their loss, they are having to set the record straight as Noem and Trump lie about who Alex was. I join so many of you in our despair over this senseless loss of life but also fear as we watch our own government murder citizens with zero accountability. One thing is clear: our nation is at a breaking point. At times like these, it can feel easy to give up hope. But that’s exactly what they want and we can’t give them that. The most important actionable thing we can do right now to rein in Trump’s abuses of power and hold them accountable is win back the House majority. That starts right here in this district.
