Listen, this is not going to be one of those emails where I compare a campaign fundraising deadline to an actual crisis (we have enough of those right now).

I’m just going to make an honest, hyperbole-free request that you chip in $25 (or more) to help elect tough-as-nails Democratic leaders in 2026 so we can get back to working for the American people.

Although our campaign may not be facing a crisis, our country is dealing with plenty.

We’re facing a constitutional crisis where Republicans aren’t just refusing to honor the oaths they swore as elected officials, but openly breaking laws and violating our rights.

We’re facing a health crisis as conspiracists and quacks help eradicated diseases like measles and tuberculosis make a massive and deadly comeback.

We’re facing a security crisis as federal agents kill innocent people in Minneapolis, kidnap children, threaten families, and illegally invade American homes.

We’re facing a climate crisis that poses an existential threat to our future – and worse, the climate deniers in Washington have forced us to fight with both hands tied behind our backs.

We’re facing a crisis of liberty as our right to protest, speak our minds, criticize the government, and vote as we choose are eroded day by day.

I’m not going to pretend that keeping me in Congress will solve the complex challenges we face as a country. But if my MAGA opponent gains ground here in IL-06, Trump’s minions will have one more vote for his disastrous agenda, and Chicagoans will have one less leader they can rely on.

With all of this in mind, will you consider supporting my campaign to bring real leadership back to Capitol Hill before tomorrow at midnight? Every contribution directly funds our campaign operations and ultimately, helps keep this competitive seat blue.
