Dear A.,
President Trump confirmed last night that he has had conversations with Iran and has additional talks with the regime planned. The talks are being reported as

"maximum-pressure negotiations."
The administration has

reportedly offered the regime a deal , which includes ending Iran's uranium enrichment operation, giving up all of its current nuclear stockpiles, limiting the range and number of ballistic missiles, and ending all support to its terror proxies, including Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis.
Meanwhile, the U.S. is continuing to increase the economic and military pressure on Iran.
Today, the Treasury Department levied new sanctions on Iranian officials responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of Iranian protesters, including Iran's Minister of the Interior, who oversees the regime's law enforcement.
“Rather than build a prosperous Iran, the regime has chosen to squander what remains of the nation's oil revenues on nuclear weapons development, missiles, and terrorist proxies around the world,” Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent

said . “Treasury will continue to target Iranian networks and corrupt elites that enrich themselves at the expense of the Iranian people."
"Like rats on a sinking ship, the regime is frantically wiring funds stolen from Iranian families to banks and financial institutions around the world. Rest assured, Treasury will act,” Bessent added.

The USS Delbert D. Black, a U.S. Navy missile destroyer, is now docked off the coast of Eilat, in the Red Sea, as part of ongoing cooperation between the U.S. military and the IDF.
The administration is also dramatically increasing its military presence in the region, including docking a

U.S. Navy missile destroyer off the coast of southern Israel.
Other U.S. military assets in the region include the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier, armed with F/A-18 and F-35 fighter jets; three U.S. Navy destroyers; and an additional squadron of F-15Es. Additional Patriot and THAAD air defense systems have been deployed to the region to defend U.S. troops and allies. And U.S.-based long-range bombers are also being kept at an elevated alert status.
As the U.S. builds up forces in the region, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi

said that the regime's forces have "their fingers on the trigger"
to respond to any action taken against the country, and the regime is planning to conduct

Hamas continues to violate ceasefire deal
Hamas continues to violate the ceasefire deal, including by sending terrorists across the Yellow Line into Israeli-controlled territory.
Yesterday, the Israeli Air Force struck a

group of eight terrorists emerging from a tunnel in eastern Rafah, killing three of them. One of the terrorists captured after the strike was a

Hamas commander from the East Rafah Battalion. The IDF added that it is still searching for the other terrorists and will "continue operating against any violation of the agreement."
Additionally, last night, four armed terrorists approached IDF soldiers in central Gaza, before being

eliminated in an IAF strike.
Despite Hamas' violations, Israel is set to open the Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt on Sunday, another step forward for Phase 2 of the Gaza peace plan, and a clear sign of Israel's commitment to the agreement.
For Phase 2 of the Gaza peace plan to succeed, and for a better future for Israelis and Palestinians alike, Hamas must disarm.

The IDF today launched a

wave of airstrikes targeting Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure and equipment.
The equipment was used by the terrorist group to help rebuild their presence in the Mazraat al-Daoudiyeh area in southern Lebanon, less than 25 miles from the Israeli border.
The IDF said the presence of the infrastructure constituted a violation of the 2024 ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon.
The United States must continue to increase the pressure on Lebanon to fulfill its stated commitment to fully disarm Hezbollah.
