I won my first federal campaign nearly 20 years ago. At the time, I didn't have a massive war chest or corporate backers. I had neighbors, community members, and a hope that we could build a brighter future because we all believed in what was possible in America. Serving in the Senate is the honor of my life, but I know I can’t do this work alone. To protect our progress—especially when it comes to preserving our public lands for future generations—we need to support Democratic candidates up and down the ballot who share our values and who will fight for working people. That is why I am writing to you today about a critical race in Montana. Ryan Busse is fighting for everyday Americans — the folks who can chip in $5 at a time, not the guys who cut $5 million in dark money checks. But to defeat an incumbent with extensive funding and corporate backing, Ryan needs to prove that grassroots power beats big money. Grassroots support is how I was elected to public office. It’s the reason I’m in the Senate today. And it is the only way Ryan is going to win this fight in Montana. Ryan is looking for 1,000 Founding Donors to stand with him. And I want to help him reach that goal. Please, pitch in any amount you can to power our work and expand our map. Every dollar matters when the stakes are this high.
