If you haven’t yet registered for the upcoming CYD Endorsing Convention in San Francisco, taking place February 20-22, please register here now ([link removed]) before prices increase from $55 to $75 per person this Sunday, February 1st.

SUBMIT CYD AWARDS NOMINATIONS TODAY: Today, Friday, January 30th is the last day to submit nominations ([link removed]) for CYD Awards to be presented at the Convention. Get award details and make your nominations ([link removed]) now!

CHARTERING DUE: All CYD chapters and caucuses must charter or recharter your CYD organization ([link removed]) before the February 9th chartering deadline.

2026 CHAPTER CHARTERING - DUE FEBRUARY 9, 2026: All Young Democrats chapter and caucus leaders in California must charter or re-charter their club/caucus to be properly chartered with the California Young Democrats and be eligible to vote in CYD elections and meetings. All CYD chapters are required to recharter for 2026. CYD has extended the deadline for 2026 Chartering to February 9, 2026, but that is fast approaching and many chapters have yet to submit the necessary chartering information. 2026 CYD CONVENTION OFFICIAL NOTICE TO CONSIDER ENDORSEMENTS & RESOLUTIONS: The 2026 California Young Democrats Convention will take place in San Francisco, CA alongside the California Democratic Party (CADEM) Convention on February 20, 2026, to February 22, 2026. Meetings will be at Moscone Center West, Rooms 3009/3011, located at: 4th St. & Howard St., San Francisco, CA 94103. Pursuant to CYD Bylaws ([link removed]) , the CYD Convention will consider resolutions as well as endorsements for California Statewide Elected Officers; California ballot propositions; United States House of Representatives; California Board of Equalization; California State Assembly; California State Senate; and, local races submitted for consideration by a Regional Leadership Committee in which a Young Democrat is a candidate. CONVENTION SCHEDULE DETAILS EXPLAINED: On Friday, the San Francisco Young Democrats invite CYD Convention attendees to a Welcome Reception co-hosted by Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi at the historic Hibernia Bank Building. On Saturday, I hope you join me for a discussion I am moderating featuring three powerful young progressive women influencers on Using Social Media for Activism. The Convention will have numerous CYD caucuses and committee meetings, and there will be general session meetings for CYD, CA College Democrats (CCD), and CA High School Democrats (CAHSD). The CYD Convention takes place alongside the California Democratic Party Convention, and both will feature countless powerhouse guest speakers in advance of the 2026 elections, in addition to lots of fun events and hospitality suites.
