JOHN, Big news out of the Senate yesterday: my bill, the No Tax Dollars for Terrorists Act, passed markup. The next step is passage by the full Senate, which could come next week or in November, so we need to keep up the pressure. After years of fighting the Sewer, we are close to cutting off the Taliban’s $40 million a week for good.

Thankfully, East Tennessee was relatively safe from last weekend’s winter storm, but our friends in Middle Tennessee weren’t so lucky. As Mother Nature takes aim at us again this weekend, pray for the folks still without power and check on your animals and the seniors in your life.
