I also worked to secure the reinstatement of nearly $2 billion in funding to help fight the opioid crisis, including seven grants here in Washington.
I worked with Democrats and Republicans to demand that the Trump administration reverse its reckless and dangerous decision to cancel critical funding. I am glad the administration caved quickly, and I remain committed to supporting local efforts to combat the opioid epidemic and save lives.

I have also spent the last few weeks meeting with important community organizations and stakeholders to ensure we are laying the groundwork to win big this year. Thank you to the Snohomish County, San Juan County, Skagit County, Whatcom County, the 42nd Legislative District Democrats, and Washington State Democrats for their lively engagement and thoughtful questions.
