Email from Tarrant County Don't forget the January 31 special elections . . . We made it to the other side of the winter storm. I hope you stayed safe and warm these last few days. Thank you to all the Tarrant County staff who worked continuously to clear roads and serve our residents. Ten Commandments Monument Dedication We kicked 2026 off with a historic start by unveiling our new Ten Commandments Monument. Hundreds of Tarrant County residents attended to join in the celebration. I am grateful to our guest speakers, Tim Barton from WallBuilders and Kelly Shackelford from First Liberty, for participating in the ceremony. The Historic 1895 Courthouse lawn now displays the words used as the foundation for western civilization's moral code. Thanks to the American History & Heritage Foundation donating the monument, no taxpayer dollars were used. If you didn't get to attend the ceremony, come downtown and take a look for yourself. Save The Date - May 7th, National Day of Prayer Luncheon Mark your calendars for our annual Tarrant County National Day of Prayer Luncheon on May 7th from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Hurst Conference Center. We will announce the Keynote speaker very soon. Sponsorship opportunities will also become available early next month. Please consider teaming up with us by sponsoring or attending. It is sure to be an uplifting time as we continue the tradition of pausing to pray along with millions of Americans across the country.
