John,
A new year brings new battles over truth, accountability, and the future of Texas. Texas Scorecard is preparing to be exactly where it matters most.
In the months ahead, we’ll continue shining a light on higher education, where taxpayer-funded universities are circling the wagons after conservatives successfully pushed back against ideological overreach. We’ll follow how institutions respond, what they’re teaching, and whether they’re accountable to the Texans who fund them.
We’ll also be closely watching the rise of anti-ICE protests that increasingly resemble the tactics and rhetoric Texans saw during the BLM riots a few years ago. When disorder is normalized elsewhere, its ripple effects don’t stop at state lines. Texans deserve clear-eyed reporting on how these movements threaten law and order here at home.
Elections will remain a top priority. From primaries to the general election, Texas Scorecard will track candidates, expose agendas, and give Texans the information they need to vote with confidence.
Throughout it all, we’ll continue identifying and challenging narratives pushed by legacy media outlets, connecting the dots so Texans can see what’s really happening behind the headlines.
