"Carrying Capacity" film premieres

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department, in collaboration with partners, has released the film "Carrying Capacity: The Hunt for Resilience" online. The film became available Jan. 19. The film explores the complexities of bighorn sheep management, leaning on examples from two Wyoming bighorn sheep populations — the Jackson Herd and the Ferris-Seminoe Herd.

WGFD employee receives state recognition

In November, Sheridan Region Terrestrial Habitat Biologist Todd Caltrider was recognized as Outstanding Conservationist of the Year by the Wyoming Association of Conservation Districts at their 80th annual convention in Gillette. 

Sage-Grouse Local Working Groups retired

Effective Jan. 31, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department will retire the Sage-Grouse Local Working Groups, marking a new chapter in conservation efforts that began in 2004.
