Dear John,

Canada’s future should be built, owned, and grown here at home.

That belief is at the heart of the Canadian Sovereignty Act — which the Liberals shot down in Parliament this week.

Canadians are facing an affordability crisis. Productivity is falling. Investment is leaving the country in droves. That’s why Conservatives put forward a serious proposal to strengthen Canada’s economic sovereignty: protect Canadian innovation, unlock major projects, and ensure critical industries are built and scaled here at home.

Instead, the Liberals chose the status quo — voting against reforms to unlock projects, protect innovation, and keep investment in Canada.

Despite having the power to act, Mark Carney has failed to deliver — no major projects approved and no laws blocking national development repealed. The result is predictable: capital leaves, innovation is sold off, and Canadian workers fall behind.

The Canadian Sovereignty Act would have required clear plans to keep Canadian innovation and investment in Canada. Yet when given the choice to work together on what should be shared goals, the Liberals voted no.

While deeply disappointing, it strengthens my resolve to keep fighting for a country that builds, owns, and leads. Will you join me?

If you are able, please support my work. Your contribution helps me push back against troubling policies like this. Thank you!

Sincerely,

Raquel
