Hi John,
As you probably know, our state’s rapid growth in the 21st century combined with decades of long-term drought have put unprecedented strain on the water supply for the Southwest. The Colorado River, which 80% of Arizonans rely on, is reaching critical levels that threaten our entire region. Along the northern edge of our district, Lake Powell seems to get lower every year — leaving boaters and recreators high and dry as the water we rely on disappears.
Governor Katie Hobbs has been fighting for a deal that benefits Arizona farmers and communities ahead of the February 14th deadline, but federal leadership has been nowhere to be found. Trump’s Department of the Interior has been hollowed out, and Representative Eli Crane’s only interest in our water supplies seems to be coming up with new ways for polluters to avoid consequences.
I’ve spent my career in public service in the Navajo Nation, and in Congress I’ll bring real leadership to this subject and the rest of the urgent issues facing our district. But I need your help to build a strong campaign to flip AZ-02 in November — can you please chip in any amount today to help us meet our $5,833 end-of-month fundraising goal? [[link removed]]

I know firsthand what it means to lack running water at your home. I grew up near the tiny town of Shonto, on a ranch with no electricity or running water. Even today, we make a 60-mile round trip to get water for our crops and livestock. I’m used to the routine at this point, but I refuse to let rural Arizona go backward when it comes to water access. If you’re with me, I’m so appreciative of anything you can donate to my campaign. [[link removed]]
Thank you,
