John,
The Trump administration has unleashed ICE as a force of terror on our streets. They raid homes, harass neighbors, and act with impunity. They’ve shown us over and over: your life, your family, your safety — none of it matters to them.
And now, there has been another murder by federal agents.
First, Keith Porter was killed by an off-duty ICE agent on New Year’s Eve outside of his home.
Then, Renee Nicole Good was shot in her car by an ICE agent who claimed “self-defense,” even though the video and eyewitnesses prove that was a lie.
Now, Alex Pretti has been murdered by federal agents, his last act a brave attempt to protect a woman being harassed by ICE.
These murders, clear as day on film, beg the question of what’s happening behind the walls of detention facilities when agents aren’t being observed. Dozens of people that we know of died in ICE custody in 2025. Hundreds more are being mistreated and denied routine medical care.
Innocent people and innocent lives have been stolen by a violent, unchecked agency. And still, the administration turns a blind eye and continues to choose violence while families grieve and communities live in fear.
We cannot stay silent. We cannot wait for another life to be taken. It’s time to abolish ICE and hold the Trump administration accountable.
Thank you,
The Squad Victory Fund
